Savage Arms: new Left-Handed rifles
SHOT Show 2018 – New for 2018 from Savage Arms is a considerable expansion of its already extensive lineup of bolt-action centerfire target, hunting and rimfire rifles, specifically targeting left-handed shooters
One of the keys to Savage Arms achieving an impressive stronghold in the firearms industry over the past two decades has been the company’s ability to dominate niche markets; at the 2018 edition of the NSSF SHOT Show in Las Vegas, the company gave us another demonstration of this impressive ability by further expanding its line of centerfire target and hunting rifles and rimfire rifles specifically conceived for left-handed shooters.
On the precision-chassis rifle front, Savage introduces the new left-handed Model 10/110 BA Stealth and Stealth Evolution. Both feature a heavy fluted barrel with a monolithic aluminum chassis, as well as feature Savage’s zero-tolerance, thread-in headspacing, user-adjustable AccuTrigger and 5R button rifling for out-of-the-box sub-MOA accuracy at extreme ranges.
The rifles are available in some of the hottest calibers in long-range shooting, including .338 Lapua Magnum, .300 Winchester Magnum, 6.5 Creedmoor, .308 Winchester and .223 Reminghton. The Stealth Evolution is also available in 6mm Creedmoor.
The Model 110 Storm also features a detachable box magazine, stainless steel action and stainless steel matte-finish barrel to withstand the most brutal weather conditions. The left-handed version comes in nine popular calibers: .223 Remington, .22-250 Remington, .243 Winchester, .270 Winchester, 7mm-08 Remington, 7mm Remington Magnum, .308 Winchester, .30-06 Springfield and .300 Winchester Magnum.
Savage is also boosting its rimfire rifles line withb left-handed versions of the .17 HMR model B17 and .22 WMR and .22 Long Rifle model B22. All feature a sporter barrel and a black synthetic ergonomic stock with a higher comb, top tang safety and target-style, vertical pistol grip for a more natural shooting position that puts less pressure on the wrist.
Like the popular A Series rimfires, all B Series rifles feature a 10-round rotary magazine and the accuracy-boosting adjustable AccuTrigger. The B Series also features Savage’s accuracy-boosting zero-tolerance, thread-in headspace system similar to that of the company’s centerfire models.
