Officially introduced on the US market on August 1st, the new Springfield Armory Model 2020 Boundary bolt-action rifle expands Springfield Armory's well-established Model 2020 series of rifles that debuted four long years ago with the Waypoint model, the first in the line.
A purely hunting-oriented rifle, the new Model 2020 Boundary was designed and built specifically to reduce and balance the weight the best they could, to make the gun as easy and effortless to carry all day long on any terrain, no matter how hard or hostile the conditions.
As such, all Springfield Armory Model 2020 Boundary bolt-action rifles are built around an AG Sportsman carbon fiber stock with a hand-painted Rogue camouflage finish, a 34,29 cm / 13.5" length of pull, two QD sling swivel cups, and a Pachmayr Decelerator rubber recoil pad for improved shooting comfort.
Springfield Armory's Model 2020 Boundary rifles come from factory with a 416 stainless steel 51 cm / 20" or 61 cm / 24" long barrel that's free floating, fully fluted, and Cerakote-finished in H-227 tactical grey for protection, plus threaded at the muzzle for Springfield Armory's own Radial muzzle brake.
The Model 2020 Boundary rifles are also available with the option of a carbon fiber-wrapped barrel for additional heat resistance. The Model 2020 Boundary rifles are covered by a .75 MOA accuracy guarantee.

Common to all Boundary rifles is the custom-grade Model 2020 action, available in long and short variants, with a receiver and bolt machined out of 4140 Tool Steel and heat-treated; the bolt is nitride-finished, while the receiver features a Cerakote H-227 tactical grey finish.
Other features of the Model 2020 action are a fully fluted bolt body, a 90-degrees bolt throw, a low-profile bolt-release button, and a Remington 700-type Picatinny rail for optics with two recoil pins, held in place by 6.48 Torx screws.
Additionally, all Model 2020 Boundary rifles come from Springfield Armory with a TriggerTech adjustable 2.5 - 5 lbs (1,1 - 2,2 kg) trigger.
All Springfield Armory Model 2020 Boundary rifles feed through an internal magazine concealed by a lightweight aluminum hinged floor plate attached to a patent-pending one-piece bottom metal, holding up to three or four rounds depending on the caliber. Seven calibers are available: 7mm PRC, 7mm Remington Magnum, .300 Winchester Magnum, .300 PRC, 6.5 PRC, 6.5 Creedmoor, and .308 Winchester.
Standing at 104 cm / 41" or 116 cm / 46" in overall length, and weighing in at 3 to 3,1 kilograms (6 lbs 13 oz to 7 lbs) when empty depending on the variant, Springfield Armory's Model 2020 Boundary bolt-action rifles are sold on the US market at an MSRP of $2,173.00 for the standard barrel models and $2,599.00 for the carbon-wrapped barrel models.
