Smith & Wesson M&P FPC folding carbine, now in 10mm Auto
Smith & Wesson's M&P FPC line of folding semi-automatic carbines expands with the launch of a new 10mm Auto variant, feeding through 15-rounds magazines

The Smith & Wesson M&P FPC line of semi-automatic pistol-caliber carbines expanded with the launch of a new variant on the US market back in March 18.
The already well-appreciated 9mm Luger and .40 Smith & Wesson caliber models of the popular line are now joined by a third entry chambered for the hefty 10mm Auto cartridge and fed via double-stack M&P M2.0 pistol magazines holding ten or fifteen rounds.
The Smith & Wesson M&P FPC pistol-caliber carbines were designed for sport shooting, target training, practical shooting competition, home defense, property protection, and defense against aggressive wildlife during outdoor activities.
As such, all of Smith & Wesson's M&P FPC carbines can be folded exactly in half, cutting down the overall length drastically (in this case, from 77 cm / 30.6" to just 42 cm / 16.½" for an overall weight of barely 2,58 kg. / 91.2 oz. when empty) for easier transportation and even safer storage, as the M&P FPC can fit a magazine in the grip when folded but can't chamber a round, nor can they be fired.

The ambidextrous charging handle – which dubs as a retainer when the M&P FPC carbine is folded – is located behind the grip and under the recoil buffer tube to reduce overall width. The polymer buttstock features two slots to host as many spare magazines at quick reach for fast reloading, and the magazine release catch is reversible for left-handed or right-handed use.

A straight blowback carbine, the 10mm Auto Smith & Wesson M&P FPC features a 41,2 cm / 16.¼" barrel with a protected 9/16x24" thread at the muzzle for flash hiders, muzzle brakes, compensators, or sound suppressors.
The black anodized machined aluminum handguard features M-LOK slots for accessory rails at 3, 6, and 9-o'clock positions, and a full-length top Picatinny rail for optics or folding iron sights. As the front portion of the M&P FPC folds sideways instead of upwards, there is no need to remove the sights to fully fold the carbine in its storage position.

Smith & Wesson's M&P FPC 10mm Auto semi-automatic carbine comes issued from factory with three 15-rounds magazines in a black zippered cordura case with velcro retainer straps and four velcro pouches for ammunition and accessories. MSRP on the US market is set at $699.00.
