The receiver, the 457 mm / 18" long barrel and the 0 MOA see-through Picatinny rail of the Savage Arms A22 Takedown rifle are manufactured out of high luster black carbon steel; all the rest is made out of black high strength polymer.
The takedown capability makes the new A22 a great option for all camping, backpacking and outdoors enthusiasts. Additionally, the Savage Arms A22 Takedown carbine features an adjustable cheek riser and a vast storage space in the stock, protected by a flip-up lid and divided in three compartments to host extra magazines and ammunition, cleaning and maintenance kits, and the like.
A dry storage compartment, protected by a secure plug, is located within the grip for those accessories that may require extra protection, such as spare batteries for optics or navigational instruments.
The Savage Arms A22 Takedown semi-automatic carbine feeds through detachable 10-rounds rotary magazines, and features a cross-bolt manual safety and the Company's own AccuTrigger, manually adjustable by the user between 3 and 5 pounds in weight – that's 1,3 to 2,2 kilograms approx.
