Henry SPD CRUSR, a new lever-action expeditionary hunting rifle
Henry Repeating Arms introduces the new SPD CRUSR lever-action rifle, jointly developed with the "gearheads" at Field Ethos journal for global expeditionary hunting and survival in the harshest conditions
Officially announced on November 5 as the latest entry in the already vast and successful line of Henry Repeating Arms hunting firearms, the new Henry SPD CRUSR .45-70 Government lever-action rifle is the final result of a long collaboration between Henry's own SPD (Special Projects Division) and the writers and self-proclaimed "gearheads" at Field Ethos, the hunting, fishing, outdoors and adventure-oriented journal co-founded and published by Donald Trump Jr., the eldest son of the sitting President of the United States.
Built around a tried-and-true working system, Henry's new SPD CRUSR lever-action rifle is designed to shrug off the elements with a best-in-class feature set tailored to professional guides, backcountry outfitters, and hunters who push their expeditions deep into the world's most unforgiving places. Compact and lightweight (barely 89,5 cm / 35.¼" long overall and weighing in at just 3 kg / 6.7 lbs when empty), the SPD CRUSR offers the solid accuracy and stopping power of four rounds of .45-70 Government ammunition in its magazine tube and one in chamber, making itself a perfect choice for survival situations as well.
At the center of Henry's new SPD CRUSR rifle is a stainless steel receiver, protected by a Midnight Blue Cerakote finish and featuring an ejection window, loading port, and subdued Field Ethos logo on the right side. A single-action rifle, the Henry SPD CRUSR features an external hammer with a transfer bar safety; the hammer can also dub as a safety when manually positioned to a half-cock position.

The SPD CRUSR rifle also comes with a fixed brass bead front sight with Midnight Blue cerakote finish, a drift-adjustable Ghost Ring sight, a Picatinny rail for optics and Weaver 63B hole spacing underneath it, allowing for direct installation of scope rings.
The barrel of the Henry SPD CRUSR lever-action rifle is 42 cm / 16.½" long, features a 5/8×24 thread at the muzzle for sound suppressors or muzzle brakes, and is tension-wrapped in carbon fiber for superior protection, longer service life, and better heat dissipation.
The magazine tube – devoid of the cartridge cutout found on other Henry rifles, to keep out dirt and debris – is shielded by a machined aluminum M-LOK forend, coated in Midnight Bronze cerakote for style and protection.

The Henry SPD CRUSR rifle comes with a Midnight Bronze synthetic stock, featuring checkered slip-proof surfaces on the grip, a black rubberized recoil pad, and a standard sling swivel loop.
A Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) finish is applied to exterior moving parts like the bolt body, trigger, hammer, and side loading gate for superior wear and weather resistance, and to ensure a quicker and smoother repetition. Built to endure and to last years and years of harsh abuse, the Henry SPD CRUSR lever-action rifle is sold on the US market at a MSRP of $2,499.00; for further information, visit the official Henry Repeating Arms website.
