The CZ 600+ line of bolt-action hunting and sport shooting rifles, introduced by CZ - Česká Zbrojovka A.S. in late Summer of 2025, expands with the launch of a Flat Dark Earth version of the CZ 600+ Trail rifle, one of the most appealing variants of the platform both in terms of technical features, looks, form-factor, and function.

Despite what its looks may suggest, the CZ 600+ Trail FDE bolt-action rifle is not meant for military or law enforcement purposes, but for strictly civilian uses. Given its short size and light weight – overall length ranging between 69 cm / 27.1" and 89 cm / 35", its maximum overall weight when empty reaching 2,83 kilograms / 6.23 lbs – make the CZ 600+ Trail FDE rifle easier to safely transport, carry, and store anywhere.

Aside from target shooting, casual plinking and leisure, such capability makes the CZ 600+ Trail FDE perfect as a survival, pilot or ranch rifle and give it an edge for outdoors activities or for all those sport shooting disciplines – such as PRS – that blend precision shooting and fast moving.

The CZ 600+ Trail FDE rifle, however, was chiefly designed for hunting purposes, specifically mountain hunting, cull hunting, and generally speaking all hunting activities that will place the hunter on harsh terrain in adverse environmental conditions. With all metal components being treated in-house with a time-proven, deep nitriding chemical-thermal finish technology called BobOx, the CZ 600+ Trail FDE guarantees exceptional durability and resistance to corrosion.

The CZ 600+ Trail FDE bolt-action rifle feeds through detachable magazines, and is currently available in .223 Remington / 5.56x45mm, .300 AAC "Blackout and  7,62x39mm. Each rifle comes issued with a 10-rounds black polymer magazine; the CZ 600+ Trail FDE is compatible with USGI/AR-15 type magazines for 5.56mm and .300 BLK and with CZ BREN-2 assault rifle magazines for 7,62x39mm.

The rifle is built around a duralumin receiver with a certified service life of over 20,000 rounds, and comes with a machined aluminum alloy free-float M-LOK handguard. A full-length top MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail provides plenty of room for the installation of fixed or folding backup iron sights, optics, night vision or thermal attachments, and the like.

The CZ 600+ Trail FDE bolt-action rifle also comes with a black polymer AR-15 type vertical pistol grip, featuring an ergonomic profile, slip-proof front strap pattern, and a set of interchangeable backstraps – the exact same used on CZ's own P-09 service pistol – to adapt to shooters of any hand sights.

The signature feature of the CZ 600+ Trail FDE rifle, however, is its PDW-style fully collapsible, four-positions extendable stock built around two solid, squared twin metal strutts, with a black polymer buttpad with a bottom QD sling swivel cup and a black polymer cheek riser on the left side.

The CZ 600+ Trail FDE shares the same action as all other entries in the CZ 600+ series, and the same quick-change barrel system that provides a way to safely and easily change caliber and rifle configuration by just unfastening and tightening the two Allen screws of the barrel block located underneath the trunnion that holds the barrel in place.

All barrels used by CZ 600+ Trail FDE rifles are cold-hammer forged, semi-heavy profile, 16-inch / 40,6 cm long, and feature a standard M15x1 thread pitch at the muzzle for flash hiders, compensators, muzzle brakes, and sound suppressors. All barrels are tested during the manufacturing process with three-shot groups and guarantee an accuracy of 2 MOA at 100 meters with factory Match ammunition.

Other features of the CZ 600+ Trail FDE bolt-action rifle include an easily, safely removable bolt with a 60-degrees opening angle; a quick-use 45-degrees angle manual safety; and a two-stage trigger that's is externally adjustable on a 9N, 11N, 14N or 15.5N pull.
