Tanfoglio Stock 3 P and Limited Custom P: the new Italian polymer pistols
SHOT Show 2017 - The well-known Tanfoglio company introduced the first prototypes of two new semi-automatic, polymer-frame pistols whose final versions will be showcased in a matter of weeks at the up-and-coming arms trade industry shows in Europe
While the most eagerly anticipated new product from Tanfoglio for 2017 is the "Unica" line of accessories – a set of parts and components that will allow shooters to modify their Tanfoglio pistols to better suit their needs and to give them a more personal touch – and while the company is still gearing up to mass-produce the AR-15 variants and military product lines showcased at the HIT and IWA expos of 2016, Tanfoglio seized the opportunity of the 2017 SHOT Show to get shooters acquainted to what could be the next entries in their line of pistols.
The Tanfoglio Stock 3 P and Limited Custom P semi-automatic pistols are conceived mainly for sport shooting, and as their own name suggests, they are essentially polymer frame versions of some of their most successful handguns to date.
The Tanfoglio Stock 3 P comes with a Picatinny-railed frame, a double-action trigger, and a passing pin on the grip that can be removed to replace the grip panels in order to adapt its ergonomics to several hand sizes.
The Tanfoglio Limited Custom P comes instead with fixed grip panels, a single-action trigger, a beveled magazine well for faster reloading, and adjustable sights.
Their outline resembles that of the tactically-oriented Force Plus pistol showcased last year, which seems to hint that they may have been engineered to find acceptance among law enforcement, military, and private security operators as well.
No other informations were released so far. Technical specs, manufacturer's suggested retail prices and other info about the Tanfoglio Stock 3 P and Limited Custom P pistols are scheduled to be released to the public during the 2017 HIT Show edition, in February, and the 2017 IWA edition in March.
