The new Colt Cobra revolver
SHOT Show 2017 - Colt reintroduces the legendary Cobra revolver as a preamble to the relaunch of the signature 'Snake' series of firearms!
Yes, you read it right: rumors reached GUNSweek.com concerning Colt's intention to reintroduce to the global market the legendary 'Snake' series of revolvers. We are talking about names that made history, such as Anaconda, Viper, Python, Diamondback... and Cobra.
And the new Colt Cobra is indeed (assumedly) the first in the reborn 'Snake' series of revolvers. First showcased at the SHOT Show this year, it marks Colt's triumphant return to the world of double-action revolvers. Its small frame and 2" barrel make it ideal for concealed carry. The new Colt Cobra revolver features a Hogue overmolded rubberized grip that's been moved rearward to help manage recoil, as well as a red fiber-optic front sight and a standard frame trench in lieu of the rear sight.
The new Colt Cobra is chambered in .38 Special and is +P capable. This firearm was designed to meet the needs of new shooters and seasoned professionals alike and to be easy and enjoyable to carry and shoot.
The robust stainless-steel frame of the Colt Cobra revolver draws from the fine lineage that used to make Colt revolvers special at the eyes of enthusiasts worldwide. The new LL² ("Linear Leaf") mainspring design ensures a consistently smooth trigger pull in the weight range of 7 to 9 pounds in double action and 3 to 4 pounds in single action.
Overall enhanced grip and trigger ergonomics create a naturally pointing revolver that is compatible with a maximum range of hand sizes and still allows the use of gloves.
