Chiappa Firearms 1911 Superior Optics Ready pistol
New for 2025 at SHOT Show, Chiappa Firearms introduces a new take on its line of 1911-style pistols developed in collaboration with ZeroTech Optics: the Chiappa Firearms 1911 Superior MRS and 1911 Superior Optics Ready.
The Chiappa Firearms 1911 Superior pistols are chambered in .45 ACP, and feed through detachable single-stack 8-rounds magazines; coming from factory with features such as a skeletonized single-action trigger and hammer, a full matte blued stainless steel construction and an ambidextrous frame-mounted manual safety, they're embelished by diamond-checkered walnut grips with a golden embedded Chiappa Firearms logo on both sides.
The Chiappa Firearms 1911 Superior pistols also come with an extended grip frame and beavertail, and a 5-inch stainless steel barrel with a 1:16" twist rate.

The new models share additional features with the baseline Chiappa Firearms 1911 Superior pistols, such as wide front and rear slide serrations, a low-profile Novak rear sight with high-visibility inserts and a fiber-optic front sight; additionally, however, their slides are cut to host a micro red dot sight interface with mounting plates matching the Shield RMSc footprint.
In particular, while the Chiappa Firearms 1911 Superior Optics Ready only features the pre-cut slide for optics, the 1911 Superior MRD pistol comes from factory with a pre-installed ZeroTech Optics Thrive HD micro red dot sight: weighing in at only 19 grams (0.67 oz) and offering up to 150,000 hours of battery life, the Thrive HD is a heavy duty shockproof sight with 3 MOA dot, auto-shutoff and auto-on functions, with an anti-reflex lens coating specifically developed to reduce image distortion to the minimum possible level, and featuring a moulded protective rubber cover.
