The SAR 7/24 line of 9mm Luger semi-automatic pistols is but the latest entry in the already vast catalog of products offered by Sarsilmaz, one of Turkey's oldest, biggest, most important and best known firearms manufacturers.
For years, now, the Turkish gun industry has been demonstrating itself to be perfectly capable of developing and manufacturing high quality products that are perfectly capable of rivaling those offered by even the best known European and American manufacturers; in this specific case, the Sarsilmaz SAR 7/24 pistols are blatantly aimed at rivaling with the well known CZ Shadow II series on the global market for service, tactical, defensive, and competition shooting handguns.
The Sarsilmaz SAR 7/24 pistols are built using 100% stainless steel frames and slides, with a full platinum or bi-tone platinum-gold finish, and all feature deeply checkered black G10 grip panels for a secure grip in all conditions.

The Sarsilmaz SAR 7/24 is based on the same short-recoil, locked-breech, Browning linkless cam system used by all CZ-75 variants; the SA/DA trigger is extremely fluid, with a crisp break, and features an external hammer and a 15/25 N trigger pull.
The frame of all SAR 7/24 pistols sports slip-proof serrations on the grip front and back straps, and at the front end of the trigger guard; also featured are an integrally-machined MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail for tactical accessories and a beautifully made 108 mm / 4.2" stainless steel barrel with an integral bushing.
The slide prominently features a set of aggressive front and rear serrations, dovetailed front and rear white dot sights, and a machined micro red dot sight interface that will accept adapter plates for all the most common MRDS models currently available.
Standing at 195 mm / 7.7" in overall length and weighing in at 980 grams (34.5 oz) without a magazine, the Sarsilmaz SAR 7/24 is already available in numerous Countries at a competitive price that doesn't match the – reportedly – very high quality, fit and finish of the product. Sarsilmaz may truly have a winner here, in the form of a reliable, solid, high-performance pistol that leaves little, if anything at all, to be desired.
Sarsilmaz SAR 7/24 Sport and SAR 7/24C pistols
The Sarsilmaz SAR 7/24 series of pistols also includes two derivative entries: the SAR 7/24 Sport pistol, dedicated to practical shooting competitions; and the SAR 7/24C pistol, built for concealed and open carry, personal and home defense, and as a duty pistol for law enforcement and private security.
The SAR 7/24 Sport pistol is slightly longer and heavier than the baseline SAR 7/24 (205 mm / 8.1" in length, 1030 grams / 36.3 oz without a magazine), and comes with a 118 mm / 4.6" barrel, a single-action only flat-face trigger and a short spur hammer; the SAR 7/24C is the baby of the bunch (185 mm / 7.3" long overall), comes with a 9,8 cm / 3.9" barrel and weighs in at 930 grams / 32.8 oz without a magazine.
Both models share the same grip design and length as the baseline model, and use the same double-stack, 17-rounds sheet metal magazines with polymer floorplate and elevator.
