Brand new from CZ - Česká Zbrojovka for late 2020, the CZ TS2 is the Czech company's latest high-performance shooting machine, specifically conceived for IPSC competition shooting in the Standard Division.

Developed independently by CZ following input from top-class IPSC shooting, including champion Eric Grauffel, the CZ TS2 is the heir and a direct evolution of the CZ-75 TS (Tactical Sport) line – so evolved, indeed, that the two lines share no component, exception made for the magazines and a few smaller parts.

Modified frame and slide geometry, the use of the best available materials – steel and aluminum – and a savvy combination of state-of-the-art CNC manufacturing technologies and expert hand-fitting and matching of components allow the TS2 to offer tolerances as tight as 1/100th of mm, an almost peerless level on the market. Precision in the manufacturing and assembly translate directly into increased accuracy down range, faster cycling, and a longer service life.

The new CZ TS2 is available in three versions – the standard, the Deep Bronze and the Racing Green. The standard and Racing Green models feature a black slide and frame, and respectively grey or bright green anodized, machined aluminum grip panels, magazine floorplate, and extended magazine release catch; the Deep Bronze comes with a burnt bronze Cerakote finished frame and black aluminum components.

All variants share a plethora of interesting features, such as an aggressive aggressive checkering pattern on the entire grip surface, as well as on the magazine release button and the front portion of the trigger guard, for a secure grip in all conditions; a flat, single-action only trigger with a crisp release and a short reset; a low-profile hammer; front and rear slide serrations for quick and easier handling; a machined, flared duralumin magwell for easier reload; an adjustable rear sight and a fiber optic 11mm front sight; and an ambidextrous frame-mounted safety lever – extended on the left side, flush on the right.

All variants also feature a mirror polished, stainless steel 134 mm / 5.27" barrel, which brings the overall length to 225 mm (8.85"), and weigh in at 1,35 kilograms (2.97 lbs). Standard magazine capacity for 9x19mm and 9x21 IMI versions is 20 rounds, specs for the .40 Smith & Wesson models have yet to be released.

Variant-specific features include a frame-mounted, flat left thumb support for the TS2 Racing Green model, and a slant left thumb support in lieu of the hold-open lever on the TS2 Deep Bronze model.

With the popularity of IPSC and USPSA competitions being steadily on the rise and with limited factory-supplied options on the market for both newcomers and expert shooters, CZ is willing to bet that their new TS2 pistol will stand well above the rest. Given their record, it's hard to argue with that.
