New for 2025, Chiappa Firearmsa announces the expansion of the well-known Chiappa Firearms LTL line of non-lethal pistols with the launch of the Chiappa Firearms LTL Canik SFX Rival 1.50 model, a licensed LTL version of the Canik SFX Rival practical shooting competition handgun.

The Chiappa Firearms LTL 1.50 series of pistols include models with different power levels and feeding systems and features ideal for Force-on-Force training, or basic less-than-lethal home defense.

The new Chiappa Firearms LTL Canik Rival SFx is a CO₂ powered pistol built on a polymer frame, with metal slide and barrel. It is a licensed copy true to the original Canik pistol, except for the fact that the slide and the optics ready top plate are fixed.

The LTL Canik Rival SFx fires .50 caliber rubber balls; the magazine is located within the frame, is accessible through a hole located underneath the dust cover and holds five .50 caliber balls. Once loaded with a fresh CO₂ cartridge, no additional operations are required to cock the LTL Canik Rival SFx or chamber a round.

The propulsion system of the LTL Canik Rival SFx is powered by commercial 12g CO₂ cartridges, easily available  anywhere. The advanced, proprietary design of the gas system and the cartridge seat inside the grip of the Chiappa LTL pistols allows users to store the gun in a ready-to-use condition indefinitely, with total peace of mind; in fact, the CO₂ cartridge isn’t automatically pierced when inserted; with a fresh CO₂ cartridge inside the grip, in case of need, a sharp blow of the hand to the base of the grip will put the system under pressure, making the pistol ready to fire. When the system is under pressure, an indicator protrudes from its seat at the rear of the slide providing visual and tactile status confirmation.

To make the most out of the inherent accuracy of its metal barrel, the Chiappa Firearms LTL pistols have a full line of ammunition: the lightweight Zulu 1.8g and heavier X-Ray 2.6g rubber balls; the Victor 1.3g pepper balls; and the Whiskey 4.8g steel balls. A complete set of ammunition that makes the LTL Canik Rival SFx a versatile tool for all training and less-than-lethal defense purposes.

The fixed metal barrel and slide of the LTL Canik Rival SFx ensure optimal balance and ready target acquisition thanks to the built-in fixed sights with fiber-optic inserts. A double-action-only trigger, with trigger safety and no other controls of sorts to fumble with, makes the pistol extremely simple to familiarize with and straightforward to operate.

The Chiappa Firearms LTL Canik Rival SFx muzzle energy is below 20 joule. The pistol is available in the standard version, with black frame and slide, and the Competition version with gray frame and slide and a yellow-gold finish for trigger, magazine release button and base plate.
