Chiappa Firearms Canik SFX Rival 1.50 non-lethal defense pistol
IWA OutdoorClassics 2025 – Chiappa Firearms introduces the new Canik SFX Rival non-lethal .50-caliber pistol, shipping soon to distributors

New for 2025, Chiappa Firearmsa announces the expansion of the well-known Chiappa Firearms LTL line of non-lethal pistols with the launch of the Chiappa Firearms Canik SFX Rival 1.50 model, a licensed LTL version of the Canik SFX Rival practical shooting competition handgun.
Cosmetically identical to the 9mm Luger pistol it's based on, Chiappa's new SFX Rival 1.50 is manufactured largely out of polymer and employs spherical .50-caliber bullets that make it a very interesting choice for a very wide array of purposes, such as the introduction of the youngest generations and first-timers to the basics of safe firearm handling, marksmanship, and practical shooting; leisure plinking or training indoors or otherwise in places where the use of firearms would be unpratical, impossible, or illegal; non-lethal home and property defense; protection against aggressive animals; and force-on-force professional training or recreational-sporting practice.
The Chiappa Firearms SFX Rival 1.50 pistol feeds through a six-shots magazine tube, built-in within the frame, that can be filled through a round port located underneath the railed dust cover; propulsion is provided by a single commercial 12-grams CO² canister, hosted in a fake detachable magazine within the grip. Thanks to the "Quick-Pierce" system, Chiappa's SFX Rival 1.50 can be stored indefinitely with a CO² canister in the magazine with no strain to the O-rings and gaskets, as the magazine floorplate will need to be tapped from underneath for the CO² canister to be pierced, putting the system under pressure and actually allowing the gun to function.
