July 4, 2026 will mark the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and the birth of the United States of America; for obvious reasons, basically the entirety of the international sporting firearms industry is celebrating the occasion, one way or another, particularly with the launch of dedicated commemorative models.
And the latest of them comes from none other than Auto-Ordnance, a Kahr Firearms Group brand that has been launching celebratory limited editions of classic firearms for a number of years; in this specific case, we're talking about the 1911 USA 250th Anniversary pistol.
Built on a series production Auto-Ordnance 1911 variant – the .45 ACP Stainless 1911 model, entirely manufactured out of high-grade stainless steel and featuring a set of decorative lightening cuts on both sides of the slide – the USA 250th Anniversary 1911 pistol is a sophisticated and distinctive creation that doesn't look tacky, fully functional and capable of high level performance at the range without losing its unique cosmetic allure.

The Auto-Ordnance 1911 USA 250th Anniversary pistol features a full, uniform matte gray finish on the slide, the frame, and other smaller components such as the skeletonized trigger and hammer, left-side manual safety, grip safety and extended beavertail, and barrel bushing.
The Match-grade 5" / 127 mm barrel retains the original full stainless finish, and both the mainspring housing and front strap are machined-checkered at 20 lines per inch for a firm grip in all conditions.
The craftsmanship of this anniversary model is detailed through intentional symbolism on both sides of the slide. The left side is emblazoned with "250th Anniversary" alongside the year "2026", while the right side proudly bears the title “United States of America” and the founding year of "1776", all with a striking copper-colored infill, while light grey decorations on top of the slide homage the stars and stripes of the US flag.
The slide of the Auto-Ordnance 1911 USA 250th Anniversary also retains the same front and rear serrations and front lightening cuts found on the Stainless 1911 pistol it's based on; a set of solid TruGlo Combat Day Sights allow for rapid target acquisition in almost any condition.
The hardwood grips of the 1911 250th Anniversary pistol are custom-engraved to show showcase the iconic Liberty Bell on the left and a regal bald eagle on the right, with both images set against an intricate field of stars.
