Vortex Viper red dot sight for shotguns
IWA OutdoorClassics 2025 – Vortex Optics introduces the Viper red dot sight for shotguns, designed to be installed directly on a drilled and tapped receiver

Freshly introduced to the global commercial markets, the Vortex Viper red dot sight was specifically designed as a ready-to-use sighting solution for hunting, sport shooting, defensive and tactical pump-action or semi-automatic shotguns.
A low-weight, low-profile squared and fully enclosed design, the Vortex Viper is designed around a hard-anodized black 6160 aluminum chassis with aspheric lenses and is fully waterproof, shockproof, and fogproof.
Power is provided by a single CR2032 battery; the battery seat is located to one side, so it can be replaced without requiring removal of the sight from the shotgun it's mated to. Thanks to the motion-activation and the 10-minutes auto-shutoff systems, a battery can offer up to 50,000 hours of continuoys runtime.

Two variants of the Vortex Viper are available: with a bright red illuminated 3 MOA center dot or a selectable multi-reticle. Both are adjustable on a 100-MOA range for windage and elevation and are completely parallax-free.
Practically a world first, the Vortex Viper features an integrated mounting platform that requires no Picatinny rail or dedicated interface, just a standard drilled and tapped receiver. By using fasteners with a different thread pitch, but with the same torque (12 in-lbs, or 1,35 nm), the Vortex Viper can be installed to the drilled and tapped receiver of 47 different pump-action or semi-automatic shotguns from thirteen different major brands.
