Sightmark Element Mini Solar red dot sight
The Sightmark Element Mini Solar is an extremely compact and lightweight, battery-powered red dot sight featuring an efficient and reliable solar power source and Sightmark's own, adaptive Eclipse Light Management System that automatically adjusts the dot brightness to match environment light conditions
First introduced at the 2020 SHOT Show, the Sightmark Element Mini Solar red dot sight is the latest entry in the Mansfield, Texas-based Company's line of compact red dot sights for sport shooting, hunting, defensive and tactical applications.
Conceived to be as lightweight and diminutive in size as possible, the Sightmark Element Mini Solar red dot sight is also packed with innovative and desirable technical features and is built to be durable and reliable, despite the affordable price tag.
While battery-powered – using a single CR2032 3V battery hosted in a hinged compartment and yielding up to 200,000 hours of battery life – the Sightmark Element Mini Solar red dot sight is unique in the field of sports and tactical optics in that it can be operated without a battery, its integrated solar power source by no means limited to an auxiliary or ancillary role.
Built on a 75mm / 2.96" long, 41mm / 1.64" wide and 69mm / 2.71" high, matte black 6061-T6 body, the Sightmark Element Mini Solar 1x22mm red dot sight weighs barely 5.5 oz (155,9 grams) and is sturdy enough to be IP67-rated for resistance to water, shockproof up to 1 mt (3 ft) and rated to withstand high-caliber recoil up to .338 Winchester Magnum.
The 3 MOA red colored dot can be adjusted on a 120 MOA range for elevation and a 160 MOA range per windage via the capped, 1-MOA-per-click turrets whose protective screw-on caps also dub as adjustment tools.
Illumination can be adjusted manually to ten different levels through two easily operated rubberized buttons, or just be left to the built-in Eclipse Light Management System (ELMS), which automatically adjusts reticle brightness based on the environment light of the shooter's surroundings.
Offering an unlimited eye relief and anti-reflex red lens coating, the red dot sight can be operated even in extreme environments (-4° to +140°F / -20° to 60°C).
Each Sightmark Element Mini Solar sight comes issued from factory with flip-up, removable lens caps and two Picatinny mounts – a low mount for shotguns and hunting rifles, and a raised mount that will provide absolute cowitnessing with the iron sights normally found on modern sporting rifles and carbines, particularly AR-15 variants.
The Sightmark Element Mini Solar 1x22mm red dot sight is available on the US market at a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $239.99, and is backed by Sightmark's signature Lifetime Warranty.
