Officially launched on the global markets on September 26, the new Pulsar Merger LRF XT50 thermal binocular is a first for Pulsar, under many points of view.

The Merger LRF XT50 is Pulsar's first thermal binocular to feature professional-grade, 12-micron 1280x1024 thermal imaging sensor manufactured in Europe with three levels of sensitivity amplification, providing extra high definition images for the eight-colour palettes built-in AMOLED display.

Additionally, the Merger LRF XT50 is Pulsar's first thermal binocular to offer an image stabilization feature that eliminates motion blur and the negative effects of shaky hands to allow rapid switching between targets, easier tracking of fast-moving animals, and the recording of more stable videos.

Built around a magnesium alloy chassis with fast-opening germanium lenses, the Pulsar Merger LRF XT50 guarantees extremely high levels of image quality – particularly when it comes to image clarity and details – while remaining relatively lightweight (950 grams or 2,9 lbs without a battery) and fully IPX-7 certified. Powered by two rechargeable batteries, specifically a 3.2 Ah external replaceable power bank and a built-in 4 Ah battery, the Pulsar Merger LRF XT50 offers one of the longest battery lives in the industry.

Pulsar's new Merger LRF XT50 also comes with a built-in laser rangefinder with a maximum range of 1.500 meters (over 1,640 yd), and a proximity sensor that activates the AMOLED display only when the user is directly looking in the eyepiece, to save power and to prevent the device from illuminating needlessly in night-time, which may spook animals away.

Like all the most recent thermal devices by Pulsar, the Merger LRF XT50 thermal binocular offers wireless connectivity via a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi channel complemented with an effective 5 GHz range, and is compatible with Pulsar's own Stream Vision 2 mobile application for remote control, firmware update, adjustment of settings, downloading and sharing of images and videos, and much more.

Additionally, the Pulsar Merger LRF XT50 uses the brightness and contrast adjustments to maximise the detail and informative value of the image in specific observation conditions via its "User Mode" function, that saves selected brightness and contrast settings in the device's memory providing optimal image quality for the next use of the thermal imager immediately, with no additional adjustments needed.
