Sightmark Presidio 1-10x26 CRED-10 Fiber SFP
New Sightmark Presidio 1-10x26 CRED-10: A versatile riflescope with fiber reticle for superior visibility.
Over the past decade or so, with the influx of feedback from users of all types from around the world and the evolving tastes of the sporting and hunting markets, Sightmark has extensively updated its catalog and consistently improved the quality and performance of its products, making them absolutely competitive with the best commercial brands on the market, with frequent forays into professional products (especially optics and accessories for patrol rifles used by local law enforcement agencies in the US).
As of 2022, one of the brand's flagship product lines is the Presidio series of riflescopes: a dozen models of varying power ratings, specialized for uses ranging from hunting to long-range shooting to tactical applications, all sharing one common denominator: a quality-to-price ratio among the best on the market.
For 2026, the range expands with the launch of the Sightmark Presidio 1-10x26 CRED-10 Fiber SFP model, a LPVO (low-power variable magnification) riflescope designed for short- and medium-range use, from driven hunts and ungulates to sport shooting and use on law enforcement patrol rifles. Its compact design—26.7 centimeters long and weighing just 900 grams including the supplied Picatinny-compatible cantilever mount—is well suited to modern semi-automatic or bolt-action rifles, particularly AR-15-style blacktop rifles.
The Sightmark Presidio 1-10x26 CRED-10 Fiber SFP riflescope is built around a one-piece, 30mm-diameter 6061-T6 aluminum body with a black anodized finish. It's nitrogen-filled and IP67-certified for complete protection against dust and other environmental elements, and waterproof even when submerged in water up to one meter deep for half an hour.
The 26mm objective lens and other optical glass elements of the riflescope are crafted to the high-quality and performance standards that have characterized the Presidio series for years, and feature a multilayer coating to improve light transmission, image quality, and resistance to scratches and dirt. What's truly impressive, however, is the choice of reticle—the CRED-10, positioned in the second focal plane, with a 3 MOA center dot—or, more precisely, the choice of reticle manufacturing technique.
The CRED-10 Fiber SFP reticle features a crisp, bright 3 MOA dot, even in broad daylight, illuminated by a hybrid fiber optic and LED system. This reticle offers superior brightness and clarity without excessive reflections or fading.
The reticle is positioned in the second focal plane, maintaining a constant size regardless of the magnification selected. In the case of this model, we're talking about ten magnifications—from a true 1x for very close-range shooting and CQB to a 10x for engaging at very long ranges—selectable manually via a dial on the eyepiece. The dial features aggressive diagonal grooves to facilitate precise selection of the preferred magnification regardless of environmental conditions. The dial also features a threaded slot for a supplied lever for quick adjustment.
The CRED-10 reticle is MIL-based and is adjustable for windage and elevation over a total of 35 MILs via 1/10th MIL click turrets; The turrets are Pop-Lock, meaning they are protruding but low-profile, and feature a Zero Stop system that allows you to lock their movement with a simple touch to prevent accidental loss of zero. On the right side of the optic body is the power dial and brightness adjustment ring for the red LED that illuminates the reticle.
The turret also houses a CR2032 battery that provides power. Ten selectable illumination levels are available; depending on the selected level, a single battery can provide from 350 hours to 1,550 hours of continuous operation. The reticle illumination automatically turns off when switching between levels, further optimizing power consumption.
Certified for recoil resistance up to 1,200 Gs—levels that cover calibers such as the very heavy 12-gauge or even the .300 Winchester Magnum, not to mention the most popular modern sporting calibers such as the .223 Remington and the 7.62x39mm—the Sightmark Presidio 1-10x26 CRED-10 riflescope is specifically designed for applications that require dynamic, rapid movement, and precise, decisive engagements in the blink of an eye.
For those who practice dynamic sport shooting, hunt with rifled weapons, or have less demanding operational needs, this model's €599.99 price tag also makes it an attractive option economically.
