Ferkinghoff International at IWA Outdoor Classics 2026
The "American Brands Experience" is among the initiatives that importer Ferkinghoff International will launch at IWA OutdoorClassics 2026 to responds to the current challenges of the industry
Ferkinghoff International – a general distributor of firearms, ammunition and accessories for the civilian markets active in 27 European Countries – celebrated its 35 years of activity at the 2025 edition of IWA
The 2026 edition of IWA OutdoorClassics is set to take place in Nuremberg, Germany from February 26 to March 1; Europe's key trade show for the firearms, hunting and shooting sports industry takes place, this year, at a moment when the industry faces major challenges in the form of political, regulatory and economic burdens.
For IWA OutdoorClassics as an expo this means shifting towards a new B2B approach, launching new formats such as IWA Vision and IWA Expert, which open up market access and foster strategic partnerships and embracing a new positioning embodied in the "Made for Trade" initiative with the ambition of placing the international specialist trade at the center and to establish IWA as a workspace for business decisions.
But to tackle such difficult conjunctural factors and make sure they don't metastasize into structural weaknesses for the entire industrial segment, responses are required from manufacturers, distributors, retailers and all other market actors as well.
Ferkinghoff International – one of Europe's biggest distributor of firearms, ammunition and accessories for hunting, sport shooting, and personal defense, active in 27 European Countries – is preparing to tackle those challenges head-on with a series of new initiatives that will be introduced at IWA OutdoorClassics 2026, starting with the "American Brands Experience".
In challenging times and under more difficult conditions, Ferkinghoff warns, stagnation is not the answer; rather, new impetus is required; and the company has experienced and proven this throughout its long history, having celebrated its 35th anniversary at the 2025 edition of IWA
The company will respond to current market changes with a countercyclical approach: expansion into more EU Countries with interesting target group potential, new products designed specifically for the European market, and further developments and innovations in well-known US brands.
Representatives of the major brands will also be available at the Ferkinghoff International booth at IWA OutdoorClassics 2026, along with an extensive selection of products on display, for further discussions and information.
