New for 2026, Weatherby’s newest addition to the Rebated Precision Magnum (RPM) family delivers an ideal balance of speed, power, and action compatibility. The 25 RPM uses a large body diameter, low body taper, and a 35 degree shoulder.

This modern case shape increases case capacity and improves overall cartridge efficiency, allowing the 25 RPM to push higher velocities than other 25 caliber options on the market. By slightly shortening and modifying their proven 6.5 and 338 RPM case, Weatherby optimized the overall length for high ballistic coefficient, heavy-for-caliber bullets: 107, 117 or even 133 grains. 

The result is one of the most advanced 25 caliber cartridge available today, offering magnum performance from the lightweight Mark V 6-lug action while giving hunters and shooters mild recoil, flatter trajectories, harder hits, and better downrange consistency with an ultra-fast 1:7.½" twist rate.

The new 25 Weatherby RPM was also designed to make reloaders' life easier: designed for today’s long, high BC 25 caliber bullets, it allows shooters to seat modern projectiles without sacrificing valuable powder capacity.

At launch, the new 25 Weatherby RPM round will be chambered in ten variants of the Weatherby Mark V rifle series and seven variants of the Model 307 line; for reloaders, brass will be made available by Starline and bullets of different weights and configurations will be offered by Barnes, Berger, Hammer Bullets, and Hornady.
