SHOT Show 2019 – Winchester introduces the Xpert Snow Goose 12-gauge shotshell, a new steel-based ammunition available in two different chamberings for snow goose and other big bird hunting
The new Winchester Xpert Snow Goose ammunition, introduced at the 2019 edition of the NSSF SHOT Show, is a specialized variant of the high quality Winchester Xpert Steel shot, conceived for wingshooting and more specifically for snow geese.
Winchester pulled technologies from its existing Xpert and Blind Side waterfowl ammunition to give hunters Xpert Snow Goose, a round that offers premium performance at a great value. The shells feature the Company's highly appraised Diamond Cut Wad system to control the shot release and improve down range patterns.
The new Winchester Xpert Snow Goose ammunition also features proprietary Xpert High Velocity steel shot for more energy on target and less target-lead required, and low visibility tube to ensure that no matter how many empty shells are around the blind, the next flock of geese won’t suspect a thing.
Packed 25 rounds per box, 250 rounds per case, the new Winchester Xpert Snow Goose ammunition is available in 12-gauge, 76mm/3" "Magnum" and 12-gauge, 89mm/3.½" "Supermagnum" loads.
Winchester Xpert Snow Goose ammunition 12-gauge, 76mm / 3" shotshells will be available in 1.¼oz (35.4 grams) 1+2 or BB loads, developing muzzle velocities of 1475 feet per second (450 meters per second). The 12-gauge, 3.½" / 89mm loads will use 1.3/8 oz (39 grams) loads, reaching muzzle velocities of 1550 fps (472 meters per second).
