Winchester Hybrid X, USA Forged and WWII Victory Series
SHOT Show 2018 – New from Winchester Ammunition are the Hybrid X, USA Forged and WWII Victory Series lines of ammunition in 9mm Luger and .45 ACP calibers for personal defense and shooting practice
For pistol shooters and for those civilians and professional who carry a handgun daily for service or personal protection, Winchester Ammunition has three new lines of loads in 9mm Luger and .45 ACP ready to roll, to be eventually expanded in the coming months and years, and all were on display first at the 2018 NSSF SHOT Show in Las Vegas.
A pinnacle in Winchester's self-defense ammunition technology, the new Hybrid X load in a 124-grain 9mm Luger +P load is a hybrid bullet design with a polymer tip that sits atop a fragmenting copper jacket; the polymer tip delivers initial impact force and optimizes penetration of the fragmenting lead core, which is programmed for consistent fragmentation to maximize energy transfer.
The USA Forged line of pistol ammunition was first launched in 2015, making Winchester the first U.S. ammunition maker to use steel shell casings. Starting in 2018, the Winchester USA Forged 9mm Luger 115 grain ammunition will be available in 50-rounds boxes as well as in the previously available 150-rounds packs.
Value-priced for high-volume shooting sessions, the Winchester USA Forged ammunition features brass jacketed lead core FMJ bullets, non-corrosive boxer primers for long storage life and reliable ignition, and clean-burning powder for less barrel fouling.
New for 2018, Winchester also pays honor to the anniversary of World War II – a conflict which the Company was instrumental for America to win, thanks to their ammunition and firearm production – with the Victory Series ammunition, specially packaged in collector's cartons or wooden boxes and including special headstamps and era-correct load specifications.
One of the first loads in the WWII Victory Series will be a 230 gr .45 ACP; all through 2018 and 2019, long gun loads such as 12 gauge, .30-06 Springfield and .30 Carbine will be added to the lineup.
