Hornady's new bullets and ammunition loads for 2016
SHOT Show 2016 – Hornady introduces ELD-X and ELD-M, two new bullet designs in several different calibers, also available in a number of commercial loads from the same manufacturer.
The Hornady ammunition company has designed the Heat Shield Tip, a new polymer bullet tip manufactured out of a new synthetic blend that will resist aerodynamic heating, offering optimal performances with consistent results from lot to lot, particularly in high ballistic coefficient loads.
The new bullet tip is featured in the new expanding ELD-X and the Match-grade ELD-M bullets used to load the new rifle ammunition lines showcased by Hornady at the 2016 SHOT Show.
The ELD-X bullet is loaded in the new Hornady Precision Hunter ammunition line, available in eight popular hunting calibers, from 6,5 Creedmore to 30-378 Weatherby Magnum, with weights ranging from 143 to 220 grains, providing ultra-effective terminal performance at all practical hunting ranges.
The ELD-M bullet is available in 6,5mm, .30, 7mm and .338 calibers, on a weight range between 140 and 285 grains, for ultimate accuracy in long-range shooting. The ELD-M bullet comes loaded in the new Hornady Match Ammunition line, available in 6,5 Creedmore and .338 Lapua Magnum calibers.
