Radar CRAB-PRO pistol holster
IWA 2016 – Radar 1957, the Italian manufacturer of top quality professional pistol holsters, has presented the last born in its line of super reliable gun holsters: it is the 6857 CRAB-PRO, with a safety retention Level 4.
The Radar 6857 CRAB-PRO is a professional duty holster for both special and routine service. Its design allows to carry the pistol with or without tactical-light/laser-sight of different sizes.
The new Radar 6857 CRAB-PRO pistol holster has three safety levels, plus an internal device (the CRAB) to hold the pistol horizontally.
The CRAB system automatically snaps upon insertion of the pistol in the holster, clamping two symmetrical hooks around the gun frame, ensuring a firm pistol housing even when not equipped with a tactical light.
The Radar CRAB system is self-activated/deactivated by simply inserting or extracting the pistol from the holster:
- The weight of the weapon inserted in the holster automatically activates an internal locking mechanism on the pistol frame
- Locking prevents the weapon to move horizontally
- The system is deactivated drawing the weapon vertically
The Radar 6857 CRAB-PRO also adopts the innovative L.E.P. (Locking on the Ejection Port) safety system, automatically activated with the insertion of the weapon in the holster: a special internal locking device composed of a self-lubricating polymer lever working on the cartridge ejection port of the pistol’s slide, preventing the drawing of the pistol even when pulled strongly.
Another safety system called R.L.L. (Rotating Locking Lid) is a little lid positioned at the top of the holster, blocking the extraction and locking the pistol inside when the safety is activated.
In addition to this, a retention screw in the lower part of the holster works on the pistol slide, adjusting the desired tension on the pistol within the holster in all weather conditions.
The 6857 CRAB-PRO pistol holster has three fastening screws to connect it with the different belt-loops and supports of the Radar popular MULTILINK 2 and RDC series modular carry systems, in order to adapt the carry to the various operative duty or tactical requirements.
