Caldwell Ballistic Precision Chronograph G2
Following the global success of its previous ballistic precision chronograph, Caldwell Shooting Supply launches a new and improved model called the G2
Caldwell Shooting Supplies - a Battenfeld Technologies, Inc. brand - is already well known in the field of ballistic chronographs for its baseline Ballistic Precision Chronograph, introduced back in 2014. Now, two years later, the company once again gives a new stimulus to the market with the Caldwell Ballistic Precision Chronograph G2 - a product that literally flips the conventional chronograph technology upside down.
Other than just a new generation or an improvement over its predecessor, Caldwell's new Ballistic Precision Chronograph G2 is a thoroughly redesigned product, sharing with its forerunner nothing else but a high speed (48 MHz) processor: enough to match the performances and capabilities of some of its best direct competitors on the market, at a fraction of their cost.
Thanks to its "inverted" design, the Caldwell Ballistic Precision Chronograph G2 can provide measurements more accurate than conventional chronographs, even indoors or in adverse light conditions.
The light sensors were spaced 18 apart for more accuracy and the sunscreens feature a built-in LED lights kit for when a little extra light is needed. Collapsible and compact, the system is quick and easily deployed from its heavy duty storage case. Higher accuracy was achieved by using a high speed 48 MHz processor and by designing a circuit with an advanced data interface that allows each unit to be computer calibrated at the factory after assembly.
The end result is the ability to provide much better accuracy than other chronographs on the market (+/- .25%) and measures from 5 to 9,999 FPS, making it ideal for firearms, paintball guns, airguns, airsoft replicas and even archery.
The Caldwell Ballistic Precision Chronograph G2 is powered through a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery, and sports Bluetooth integrated capabilities allowing the device to interface with smartphones, tablets, and other hand-held devices; its display provides readings in Meters-per-Second (MPS) or Feet-per-Second (FPS), while a dedicated app allows velocity, logs data, notes, weather conditions and other readings to be easily exported to personal computers or other devices via E-Mail or SMS.
The Caldwell Ballistic Precision Chronograph G2 is available at a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $269.99, but it can be procured at a lower street price through many sources - including Brownells.
