KJI Reaper Hellbound Kit: rock solid shooting stability
The Reaper Hellbound Kit from US brand KJI Precision is a rifle stabilization system that pairs with the K700 tripod for hunting and shooting on the most rugged terrain.

Initially introduced in 2022, the K700 tripod quickly became one of the best-selling products from the American brand KJI Precision. Made of aluminum, with a modular head extendable to over 180 cm in height or collapsible to 68 centimeters, it is compatible with video and photographic equipment or firearms.
In early 2024, KJI Precision introduced the Reaper Hellbound Kit: a rifle-specific stabilization system that allows you to take advantage of the K700 tripod's high versatility for taut and precise shots at long distances in any direction, even in particularly challenging situations - think, for example, mountain hunting.
The Reaper Hellbound Kit essentially consists of a K700 tripod supplied with a Reaper Hellbound head, crafted from black-anodized 6061-T6 aluminum and mounted on a photographic-grade thread (3/8"-16) on the tripod's center column.
The head features a black polymer clamp, extremely easy to loosen or tighten manually, with a maximum opening of 70 mm. Designed to accommodate the forend of any semi-automatic or bolt-action hunting and target rifle, with any type of stock except those with a particularly large lower surface area (such as a bench rest).

The inside of the clamps is lined with bright orange, chequered rubber, which is particularly grippy yet extremely soft to prevent friction from scratching, crushing, or otherwise marking the forend.
Use is very simple: once the head is mounted on the tripod and the rifle is secured with the clamp, the system provides a platform that offers both shooting stability and ample maneuverability.
The Reaper Hellbound head can rotate 360 degrees and tilt 87 degrees downward and 22 degrees upward.
Mechanical Simplicity
The Reaper Hellbound is an honest, straightforward weapon grip catering to hunters who value simplicity in their gear. Its mechanical design ensures ease of use without compromising the robust grip and recoil control that KJI is known for.
Vice-Like Grip
Retaining the same vice-like grip as the original Reaper, the Hellbound offers a secure hold on your firearm, ensuring stability and control during each shot. The grip design minimizes recoil, allowing hunters to maintain focus on their target.
Lightweight Construction
Designed for those who appreciate mobility, the Hellbound features a lightweight construction, making it an ideal choice for hunters on the move. Its lighter build ensures comfort without sacrificing durability.

Smooth 360° Pan and Tilt Range
Enjoy a full tilt, pan, and clamp lockup with the Hellbound. The smooth 360° pan and tilt range (111° with 22° up and 87° down) provide versatility, allowing shooters to adapt to various shooting scenarios.
Offset Grip Design
The offset grip design of the Hellbound allows for magazine changes with the rifle mounted, enhancing efficiency during critical moments. It also provides easy manipulation for seamless adjustments in the field.
Ergonomic Controls
Engineered for user comfort, the Hellbound features ergonomic controls that simplify operation. Hunters of any skill level can appreciate the intuitive design, ensuring a hassle-free shooting experience.
Tensioning Screw for Fine-Tuning
The tensioning screw on the Hellbound allows users to fine-tune movement, ensuring precision in every adjustment. This feature caters to shooters who demand customization for optimal performance.
The Reaper Hellbound embodies the essence of simplicity and strength, a user-friendly solution that doesn't compromise on performance.

The K700 tripod legs extend independently of each other to three different positions. The head movements are extremely fluid without sacrificing stability, considering that the head is designed to support a maximum load of 11 kg, making it suitable for almost all commercial rifles.

The Reaper Hellbound clamp can be used effectively even when the tripod is collapsed to its minimum height. This allows the kit to be used in shooting competitions, for example, as a replacement for rests, bags, or other more traditional supports. It's also easier to transport when ready for use: the complete kit—tripod plus clamp—weighs 2.51 kilograms in total, of which 790 grams are the tripod head alone.
The Reaper Hellbound kit, including the K700 tripod, can be purchased directly from the KJI Precision website. However, those who already own a KJI K700 or K800 tripod (the carbon fiber version), or any other tripod with a compatible thread, can purchase the Reaper Hellbound clamp separately. For price and availability please refer to your local KJI distributor or check the official KJI Precision website.
