Winchester Wildcat semi-automatic sporting rifle
SHOT Show 2019 – The Winchester Wildcat .22 Long Rifle semi-automatic sporting rifle marks the return of a well-known name on the company catalogue, albeit in a brand new and modern vest for the discerning sport shooter and plinker of today
The Winchester Wildcat semi-automatic carbine, introduced at the 2019 SHOT Show, is not the same as the Company's own bolt-action rimfire rifle from a few years ago – albeit it bears the same name, and for a good reason. Faithful to its traditional strive at innovation, Winchester offers the new .22 Long Rifle caliber Wildcat semi-automatic rifle as a new platform that's set to become a reference point for the industry, thanks to its captivatingly modern look and to a concentrate of innovative features.
The lower receiver assembly of the Winchester Wildcat semi-automatic rifle can be easily removed from the upper assembly by pushing a single button located at the rear of the receiver, with no tools required. The manual safety is also easily reversible for right-handed and left-handed shooters.
The detachable magazine of the new Wildcat rifle, holding 10 rounds of .22 Long Rifle ammunition, ejects right into the shooter's hand, and the ejection controls are ambidextrous. The Winchester Wildcat semi-automatic rifle is fully compatible with the wildly popular Ruger 10/22 magazines.
An ambidextrous bolt lock/release button is located in front of the trigger guard, at easy finger reach, for a quick return to shooting once the Winchester Wildcat is reloaded and to allow the shooter to easily lock the bolt back for increased safety during storage or carry.
The Winchester Wildcat semi-automatic rifle features a highly ergonomic, ambidextrous molded polymer stock offering easily recognizable features such as a skeletonized buttstock, upright ribbed pistol grip and rugged textured matte finish.
A MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail segment is located in front of the forend, providing a convenient installation platform for bipods or other accessories, and a rail cover is included for more comfortable handling when the rail is not in use; an integral rail is also found over the receiver for optical sights.
The barrel of the Winchester Wildcat semi-automatic rifle is available in 41cm (16") or 46 cm (18"), both with a ½ x 20 UNF threaded muzzle for flash hiders, muzzle brakes, or silencers (where legal). All versions feature fully adjustable front and rear sights.
