Smith & Wesson Model 1854 America 250 limited edition lever-action rifle
Smith & Wesson honors America’s 250th Anniversary with a limited edition of the Model 1854 lever-action rifle, available in two calibers and finely decorated
Smith & Wesson – one of the world's best known gunmakers, and a global leader in firearm manufacturing and design – announced on July 14th the launch of its America 250 Limited Edition Model 1854 lever-action rifle, created to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States.
In 1854, Smith & Wesson founders Horace Smith & Daniel Wesson patented their first lever gun and, to honor that historic milestone, the Model 1854 Series was born.
The original embodiement of the design, known as the Volcanic, was short-lived, but Smith & Wesson reintroduced a new Model 1854 lever-action rifle series in January 2024 to pay homage to the original, delivering a platform built on craftsmanship, reliability, and performance.
The new Smith & Wesson Model 1854 lever-action rifle is currently available in well over fifteen distinct variants, designed to embody the feel of Smith & Wesson's revered large-frame guns and renown for their smooth action. It was just normal for Smith & Wesson to prepare a dedicated variant of this series to pay the right tribute to the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and to the importance that gun ownership has always had in winning and preserving America's freedom.

The new Smith & Wesson Model 1854 America 250 Limited Edition lever-action rifle is available in two calibers: .44 Magnum and .45-70 Government.
Both models offer features such as a traditional walnut stock and forend with slip-proof checkered contact surfaces, a stainless-steel Armornite-finished barrel and receiver, a Picatinny base for mounting your preferred optics, an adjustable XS Sights ghost ring rear sight, and a gold bead front sight.
What stands out, however, is the commemorative decoration on the left side of the receiver; somewhat subdued if compared to other "America 250" finely decorated commemorative firearms launched this year by other gunmakers, yet elegant and sober, and more importantly, designed to keep the gun completely viable for use even in the hardest conditions without fear of ruining the engraving.

Finally, both models are equipped with a modern flat-face trigger, a large loop lever, a side loading gate, and a 11/16-24 thread pattern at the muzzle for suppressor use.
Blending timeless American craftsmanship with modern performance, the Smith & Wesson America 250 Limited Edition Model 1854 lever-action rifle pays homage to the spirit of independence, ingenuity, and perseverance that has defined the nation since 1776.
The Smith & Wesson Model 1854 America 250 Limited Edition lever-action rifle is sold on the US market at a MSRP of $1399.00 for the .44 Magnum variant and $1499.00 for the .45-70 variant.
