Savage Arms 110 Trail Hunter Lite, a new lightweight bolt-action hunting rifle

The Savage Arms 110 Trail Hunter Lite bolt-action rifle, officially launched on the north American market on June 14, is the latest variant the Company's highly popular 110 series of rifles: a new entry totally dedicated to hunting, particularly mountain hunting and stalking on dangerous trails, difficult environments, and wherever the light weight and maneuverability of a rifle is just as important as its reliability and effectiveness on target.
And indeed, the Savage Arms 110 Trail Hunter Lite – being built on a black synthetic, Sporter-style Hogue Overmolded stock with checkered slip-proof surfaces on the grip and handguard and a set of classic sling swivel studs – weighs in at approximately 3,2 kilograms (7.2 lbs) when empty.
Despite the light weight making it perfect for hunting on impervious terrains, the Savage Arms 110 Trail Hunter Lite is a perfect tool for all hunters, thanks to the vast palette of fifteen calibers that will get all bases covered: 5.56x45mm NATO; .243 Winchester; .270 Remington; .308 Winchester; .30-06 Springfield; .300 Winchester Magnum; .300 Winchester Short Magnum; .350 Legend; .400 Legend; .450 Bushmaster; 6.5 Creedmoor; 6.5 PRC; 7mm PRC; 7mm-08 Remington; and 7mm Remington Magnum.
All variants feed through a proprietary detachable box magazine holding up to four rounds, plus one in chamber, and come with a 508 mm / 20" barrel, except for the .350 Legend model that sports a 457 mm / 18" barrel. Also common on all models is a protected thread at the muzzle, the thread pitch varying depending on the caliber, allowing the use of all muzzle accessories, including sound suppressors.
The fluted, Medium Sporter or Heavy Sporter contour barrel and the action are manufactured out of carbon steel and come with a tungsten H237 grey Cerakote finish; two Weaver rail portions are machined on top of the action, providing a sturdy mounting platforms for optics.
Other features include a three positions safety, for chamber clearing in full piece of mind, and Savage's own, patented AccuTrigger, user-adjustable on a 1,1/2,7 kg (2.5-6 lb.) weight range via a set of external screws.
