Over twenty years after the launch of the Black Eagle model that was their first foray into single-shot competition rifles, the Sabatti company of Italy once again throws its whole weight on the high-end sporting guns market with the Oblivion, a new creation making its official international debut at the 2026 edition of IWA.

A single-shot bolt-action design, feeding through the right-hand ejection port, and debuting in .308 Winchester, the Sabatti Oblivion is a finely tuned machine designed for F-Class shooting competitions and built around a modified, CNC-machined steel Blizzard action, with a sturdy three locking lug bolt, a top Picatinny rail for optics, and a crisp Match-grade Sabatti three-lever trigger.

The action is fitted with a massive 30-inch (762 mm) long, 1.2" (31,5 mm) diameter cylindrical barrel rifled to a conventional pattern via a proprietary Sabatti electrochemical machining (ECM) procedure which is conclusive to flawless lands and grooves with no imperfections, for maximum accuracy. The muzzle is also threaded to a 5-8x24 rate.

The barreled action is subsequently coupled via a uniquely designed barrel block system – leaving it free to float – to a new chassis stock manufactured out of 6000-series aluminum alloy, known commercially in Europe as "Anticorodal", featuring a flat faced front portion for shooting from bags or other rests, and a set of heat dissipation surfaces.

As 6000-series alloy offers a superior heat transfer coefficient compared to 7075 alloy, the combination of the new Sabatti chassis and the unique barrel block ensures optimal heat dissipation from key areas such as the chamber and forcing cone, whose overheating can negatively affect accuracy.

Other features include a black polymer pistol grip, bag riding surface underneath the stock, and finely adjustable buttplate and cheek riser. The chassis stock for the Sabatti Oblivion is available in blue or gold finish.
