CZ - Česká Zbrojovka just announced a brand new line of hunting, sport shooting, and survival rifles: the CZ 600 line of bolt-action rifles is part of a long planned radical effort for a generational upgrade of CZ's centerfire rifle product line.

The CZ 600 series rifles are all based on a highly modular design offering a number of patented features that improve all key characteristics – from reliability and durability to ergonomics and shooting comfort to safety and accuracy. The use of state-of-the-art manufacturing materials and technologies also contribute significantly to its improved design and operation.

Five variants of the CZ 600 rifle will be launched initially, with kits coming soon that allow users to convert their CZ 600 model to other calibers. More specifically, the CZ 600 Alpha rifle features a black soft-touch synthetic stock; the CZ 600 Ergo comes with a green polymer Thumbhole stock; the CZ 600 Lux and CZ 600 Range both come with a laminated stock – respectively a classic, European-style, hunting-oriented stock and a long-range competition shooting stock design with numerous adjustable features, including a cheek riser.

Last, but not least, the CZ 600 Trailis built around an aluminum chassis and features a free-float handguard, a short barrel, a PDW-style fully collapsible buttstock, a pistol grip, and a controls configuration similar to that found on the CZ BREN 2 assault rifle: a perfect setup for a backpacking, outdoors, copilot or survival rifle.

The five variants can also be told apart by differences in barrel configuration – all cold-hammer forged, all different in terms of overall length, threaded muzzle, profile, sights, and so on – and receivers: machined aluminum receivers with built-in Picatinny rails or machined stainless steel receivers with Remington 700 scope mounts will be available depending from the variant.

All the models in the CZ 600 line share a new type of action, with a tight 60-degree bolt opening angle for a fast repetition, and a new type of rotating bolt head with a short extraction and a controlled feed design for smooth and reliable operation in all situations.

The classic three-position safety lever located behind the action, typical of bolt-action rifles, is replaced on the CZ 600 series rifles by a new, top-tang button safety system; yet another CZ patent, this new safety system is located at quick and convenient thumb reach, ensuring smooth and, above all, silent operation.

The single-stage or two-stage trigger is another patented innovation offered by the CZ 600 rifles series: designed to be one of the best overall on the bolt-action rifles market, it allows the user to set it for weight of pull on four different levels without requiring disassembly.

All the CZ 600 series rifles feed from detachable box magazines, varying in capacity depending from caliber and model. The CZ 600 rifles will be made available in popular hunting and sport shooting rifles such as .223 Remington / 5.56x45mm, 7.62x39mm, .308 Winchester / 7.62x51mm, 6mm Creedmoor, 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5 PRC, .30-06 Springfield, .300 Winchester Magnum, and 8x57 JS.

A button located in front of the magazine well can be pressed to lock the detachable magazine in place, turning your CZ 600 series variant from a detachable magazine to a fixed magazine rifle: while it may be seen as a quirk by some, it actually turns the CZ 600 series rifles into versatile market options for those jurisdictions where detachable magazine rifles can not be used for hunting.

All the CZ 600 series rifles are guaranteed to offer a minimum service rifle of 20.000 rounds. All metal surfaces are protected by CZ's own, new chemical heat treatment – named BobOx – offering a superior level of resistance against corrosion.

All CZ 600 series rifles are also factory-tested with Match Grade ammunition and certified for accuracy: the Alpha, Lux and Ergo models will offer sub-MOA 5-rounds groups at 100 meters; the CZ 600 Range will guarantee a 0.75 MOA 3-shots group at the same distance; the shorter CZ 600 Trail is guaranteed for 2 MOA groups.

Distribution of the CZ 600 series rifles should start in the coming weeks: by early 2022, they will be available worldwide. Manufacturer's suggested retail prices for all variants will be made public as soon as each model becomes available. Further information can be obtained through your closest CZ retailer or national distributor.
