STI International's new DVC series, HEX and H.O.S.T. pistols for 2017
SHOT Show 2017 - STI, a global leader in tactical and competition handguns, introduced five new pistols of the DVC series, HEX and H.O.S.T. at the 2017 SHOT Show in Las Vegas
STI pistols are some of the best regarded and most sought after by sport shooters – particularly dynamic shooting specialties sportsmen and women – all around the world, thanks to their relentless reliability and high craftmanship and accuracy. New for 2017 from the company at the SHOT Show in Las Vegas were five new models based on some of STI's previous, most successful models.
First and foremost were three extensions of the competition-oriented DVC pistols line – this time aimed to suit the needs of concealed carry license holders, law enforcement, tactical and private security operators.
The DVC Carry pistol is a lighter, shorter variant of the baseline DVC, built around an aluminum frame to save weight while retaining many features of the original model. Same can be said of the DVC Tactical, conceived for professional operators, featuring a longslide design, a full-length frame rail and a suppressor-ready barrel. The DVC Steel, a double-stack 9mm, is instead once again conceived for competition shooting.
The HEX line of pistols is also extended with the launch of the HEX Tactical 3.0 pistol, featuring a tri-topped slide to reduce weight, and to provide faster target acquisition. Namesake hex pattern serrations provide superior tread for racking. The overall slim profile provides for ease of concealment, and VZ Alien grip scales offer plenty of grip for control.
Finally, the new H.O.S.T. is STI's latest entry in the field of tactical pistols. Built around an aluminum railed frame and featuring a threaded barrel for silencers or other muzzle devices, the STI H.O.S.T. comes with a slotted slide that will allow the quick attachment of miniature red dot or reflex sights.
