The launch of the Daniel Defense H9 9mm Luger semi-automatic striker-fired pistol at the 2024 edition of SHOT Show confirmed that the Internet rumors of the past few months were true: the Hudson H9 pistol, plagued by quality issues when it was first launched, has made a comeback in a completely redesigned version meant to address the issues of the first version and finally realize the full potential of the platform.

Built around a railed 7075-T6 aluminum alloy frame, a CNC-machined steel slide and a 4.28" cold-hammer forged stainless steel slide with a 1:10" twist rate, the Daniel Defense H9 feeds through 15-rounds double-stack, carbon steel magazines with a low-friction finish and features a fiber-optic front sight, a carbon steel rear sight with dovetail cut, a set of fully-removable G10 grips with a well balanced texture, and a machined optics interface on the slide.

The low bore axis reduces recoil and muzzle-flip for faster, more accurate follow-up shots. A modular design enables easy customization, and a 1911-style straight-pullback trigger with safety blade provides precision control and safer operation. Customizable, ambidextrous controls deliver high levels of ergonomics and maneuverability.
