The Chiappa Firearms LTL Bravo 1.50 and LTL Charlie 1.50 less-than-lethal pistols, manufactured by the Italian company for force-on-force training and less-than-lethal property defense, are the most recent iterations of the design first introduced back in 2021 with the LTL Alfa 1.50, a Beretta 92 lookalike.
The LTL Bravo 1.50 and LTL Charlie 1.50 sport more streamlined, modern designs, and unlike the all-plastic Alfa 1.50 they're built around a metal barrel and slide with a polymer railed frame, ergonomic grip, and fluorescent high-visibility sights. The detachable magazines, hosted underneath the barrel, hold six .50-caliber balls of various types – rubber, pepper, et al. – and the gun is powered by 12g CO² canisters hosted in the grip: a single canister provides propulsion for twelve shots.
The new versions of the LTL Bravo 1.50 and LTL Charlie 1.50 pistols, available in three muzzle energy tiers depending on local laws and regulations (<7.5J, <12.5J or <20J), are offered in blaze orange or cobalt grey Mystikote finish.
Available starting February/March 2024, the Chiappa Firearms LTL Bravo 1.50 and LTL Charlie 1.50 less-than-lethal pistols will be sold at a retail price ranging between a minimum of €145 to a maximum of €162 in Europe, depending on the variant; the pistols will also be available in a kit with three 10-rounds .50-caliber canisters of different kinds, all contained in a zippered carry bag, at a price of €263 or €282 depending on the version.
