New for 2026, Taurus introduces the TX9 line of striker-fired, single-action only modular pistols. Chambered in 9mm Luger, the TX9 pistols are based on the Taurus Modular System: a removable metal chassis that hosts the trigger group component and is also the serialized component of the pistol, allowing users to quickly swap  frame sizes between the full size, compact, and subcompact.

An ambidextrous slide release pairs with a reversible magazine catch, accommodating both left-handed and right-handed shooters. The Taurus TX9 is built around a black railed polymer frame and uses a nitride-finished alloy steel slide, a matte black alloy steel barrel, and industry standard dovetails for its iron sights to readily accept many aftermarket options; it is also optics-ready, utilizing the TORO (Taurus Optics Ready Option) mounting interface for micro red dot sights.

Three versions are available: Full-size (7.75" / 197 mm long overall), compact (7.19" / 182 mm long overall) and subcompact (6.62" / 168 mm long overall); the full-size and compact models feed through double-stack 15-rounds magazines, while the subcompact models holds 13 rounds. Compliant 10-rounds magazines are available for all variants.
