Highly anticipated after on-line articles and leaks started appearing midway through 2025, the revolutionary Dragon pistol from Rideout Arsenal has finally been officially showcased at SHOT Show.

Chambered in 9mm Luger and feeding through 17-rounds or 20-rounds double-stack magazines, the Dragon is built to be the lowest bore-axis pistol in the world – which it succeeds to do, as the bore-axis alignment is -33mm, meaning the bore is located below the grip line.

The Dragon is built around a machined 7075-T6 frame, featuring a set of ambidextrous controls and a machined Picatinny rail for accessories, where basically everything is modular, removable and replaceable, from the magwell funnel to the grip backstraps and panels, and even the Fire Control Group, which is the serialized component and allows the Rideout Arsenal Dragon to be fully configurable with very little to no complications on the legal/bureaucratic side.

The 5", bull-profile barrel is fixed to the frame, and so is the N-ROC non-reciprocating, modular micro red dot sight mount. The unique form-factor of the machined steel slide, the working system – an unusual lever-delayed blowback last seen in handguns on the vintage Italian Benelli B76 – and the bore position and axis contribute to tame recoil and keep muzzle climb to a meager 5° overall.

MSRP for the US market is set at approximately $5,200.
