Chiappa Firearms Rhino 44 Magnum Nebula
The launch of the new Chiappa Rhino revolver in .44 Magnum caliber continues, now in the "Nebula" version
On December 12th, Chiappa announced the launch of its new Rhino revolver, now in .44 Magnum caliber, in black, "White Nickel," and Gold versions. Continuing the launch of the new Rhino 44, which will be completed at the SHOT Show with other exclusive versions, Chiappa today announced its "Nebula" version.
An "enlarged" version of the classic Rhino revolver, the Nebula 60DS .44 Magnum model retains the Rhino’s signature bottom-chamber firing geometry, which reduces muzzle rise and straightens recoil impulse. The updated L-Frame incorporates improved ergonomics, including twin finger stops and a revised grip interface, for consistent hand placement and controllable recoil. Chiappa’s characteristic balance of strength and weight is preserved with a 7075-T6 aluminum frame paired with a steel barrel and breech shield.
Such an exceptional weapon naturally required exceptional finishing and technology. Already used on the .357 Magnum version of the Rhino, the Nebula finish features a multi-spectrum PVD treatment that shifts between deep purples, blues, and gold-tinged highlights. Each revolver’s coloration is unique, making every piece one-of-a-kind. The durable, scratch-resistant coating adds a collectible quality to an already high-performance platform.
The Nebula 60DS L-Frame comes with a 6-inch barrel, fiber-optic sights with a fixed front and fully adjustable rear, a double/single-action trigger system, and a six-round cylinder. Safety features, including cylinder block, rotation lock, and hammer block, are carried over from prior Rhino models. The revolver weighs 2.92 lbs, measures 11 inches overall, and as already seen in the black, white, and gold versions, the Rhino 44 Nebula also features a rubber grip made by Hogue specifically for the Chiappa Rhino 44 Magnum.
Although designed primarily for the US market, the Rhino 60DS .44 Magnum revolver represents a significant technical and commercial step forward for Chiappa Firearms, already eagerly anticipated. The announcement of a "Nebula" version confirms the company's firm belief in this product, its reliability, and the engineering and manufacturing efforts behind it. It intends to make it a staple in its catalog for the foreseeable future.
The Chiappa Firearms Rhino 60DS Nebula .44 Magnum revolver will be available on the market in 2026, and will debut at the SHOT Show in Las Vegas at the end of January, along with other versions. For more information, visit the official Chiappa USA website.
