Sightmark Latitude 8-32x60 F-Class riflescope
Conceived for long-range shooting competition, Sightmark's Latitude 8-32x60 F-Class riflescope is a sturdy and reliable market alternative – and like all other Sightmark products, it remains a sensible and affordable choice
The Sightmark Latitude 8-32x60 F-Class riflescope has been designed specifically for long-range shooting. Just like all Sightmark products, the Latitude 8-32x60 F-Class riflescope was conceived to maintain an affordable price tag, and yet this was by no means done by cutting on those features that would affect the optic's performance – particularly when it comes to sport competition.
Built around a single-piece, machined 34mm airspace-grade aluminum tube that's subsequently hard-anodized in black, the Sightmark Latitude 8-32x60 F-Class riflescope is certified to withstand heavy recoil, up to .50 BMG in caliber, and is IP67 certified to be dustproof and waterproof, resisting to immersion up to 1 meter (3 ft) for one hour. It is also nitrogen-purged to resist fogging and humidity.
Multicoated optic glass lenses offer high levels of resistance to dirt, fog, and scratches, and allow for a very good level of light transmission and image clarity – a true godsend when you need to take the shot that could decide the outcome of a competition, maybe in the late afternoon, with low environmental light conditions or with the sun in an unfavourable position.
Even further of help under this point of view, the etched second focal plane illuminated reticle on the Sightmark Latitude 8-32x60 F-Class riflescope was designed to be as thin as possible, in order not to obstruct the target's image.
On the left side of the tube, a rheostat dial allows the shooter to select between red or green light illumination and to set it on five different levels, providing adaptability to any light conditions. Each Sightmark Latitude 8-32x60 F-Class riflescome comes issued with a CR2032 battery to be ready to use right out of the box.
The battery compartment can be accessed by removing the rheostat dial cap. A single CR2032 commercial battery powers the illumination system, offering a battery life that will range between 30 and 20000 hours depending on the selected illumination level.
On top of the scope tube and on the right side respectively are the elevation and windage turrets. The reticle can be accurately adjusted on 1/8 MOA clicks (3,6mm @ 100mt) for an overall range of 70 MOA in windage and 110 MOA in elevation.
In order to secure the multi-turn turrets against accidental loss of zero, each turret features a Zero-Stop ring that will lock the dial in position, preventing any accidental movement that may come from careless handling or storage.
Finally, the zoom adjustment dial is located at the base of the eyepiece, allowing the shooter to set the magnification on the Sightmark Latitude 8-32x60 F-Class riflescope without taking his or her eyes off the target.
The Sightmark Latitude 8-32x60 F-Class riflescope is impact resistant up to about one meter (3ft) and offers other features such as a field of view ranging between 5,4 mt to 1,3 mt @100mt (16.1 to 4 ft @ 100yds) and a 5,4 to 1,3 meters (4.7 to 4.2 ft) depending from the selected zoom level, as well as a 20-to-infinite parallax; it is 35,7 cm / 14.05" long overall, 7,5 cm / 2.95" high and 9 cm / 3.54" wide, for an overall weight of about one kilogram (36.2 oz) – not much mass to add on a rifle.
The Sightmark Latitude 8-32x50 F-Class riflescope comes from factory with a screw-on lens hood, and represents an excellent choice for shooters who may want to take their first steps in long-range shooting competitions with a vengeance and leave a mark, yet without breaking the bank but not settling for anything less than the best. Under this point of view, the Latitude 8-32x50 F-Class is bound to give higher-end competition a run for its money.
