2 new Browning X-Bolt McMillan rifles
SHOT Show 2017 - The Browning Arms Company introduced two new limited-availability versions of the X-Bolt bolt-action hunting rifle, built on McMillan stocks
At the 2017 edition of the SHOT Show, the Browning Arms Company showcased two new limited availability editions of the X-Bolt bolt-action hunting rifle, built around some of the best stocks offered by McMillan.
Both are chambered for the increasingly popular 6,5mm Creedmoor caliber, feeding through 4-shots detacheable magazines, and offer excellent platforms for big game hunting or long-range shooting.
Browning X-Bolt Hell's Canyon Long Range McMillan
The Browning X-Bolt Hell's Canyon Long Range McMillan rifle puts the proven X-Bolt action into a McMillian Game Scout stock with an A-TACS AU arid/urban camouflage finish provides long-range shooters with a solid platform for maximum accuracy. The stock is fitted with two quick detach (QD) cups for a sling, plus it has a single front swivel just for a bipod.
The Browning X-Bolt Hell's Canyon Long Range McMillan rifle is built on a steel, Cerakote burnt bronze finished receiver that's glass-bedded, as well as drilled and tapped for scope mounts. The 26", free-floating barrel sports an outer Cerakote burnt bronze finish as well as a Target crown, and the muzzle brake is mounted on a suppressor-capable thread.
Other features include a 60-degrees bolt lift; an adjustable Feather Trigger; a top-tang safety and a bolt unlock button.
Browning X-Bolt Target McMillan A3-5
The Browning X-Bolt Target McMillan A3-5 bolt-action rifle is instead built on a glass-bedded, matte blued finish steel action that's drilled and tapped for scope mounts and issued with a 20 MOA MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail. The stock is a McMillan A3-5 with adjustable comb, textured gripping surfaces, palm swell and a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad, in A-TACS LE camouflage finish.
The Bull-profile barrel of the Browning X-Bolt Target McMillan A3-5 rifle is 28" long, fluted, free-floating and hand-chambered. The muzzle brake is mounted on a 5/8-24 suppressor-threaded muzzle with target crown.
Just like the Hell's Canyon Long Range McMillan rifle, the Target McMillan A3-5 model features a 60-degrees bolt lift; an extended bolt handle, available for right-handed shooters only, an adjustable Feather Trigger; a top-tang safety and a bolt unlock button. Other features include a swivel stud for bi-pod installation, and two quick-detach swivel cups.
