Savage Arms introduces new AXIS bolt-action rifles

Launched on the US market just in time for the beginning of hunting season, the new Savage Arms AXIS bolt-action rifles expand and refresh a line that already enjoys a great reputation as budget-oriented hunting alternatives and have been constantly on top of sales since their first introduction back in 2010.

Available in Full or Compact stock options, in different materials and colors, and with 41 cm, 46 cm, 51 cm or 56 cm barrels (16", 18", 20", 22") depending on the caliber and configuration, the new AXIS rifles were redesigned specifically in terms of ergonomics.

All the new AXIS models are built around an updated, ergonomic stock with enhanced texturing and upgraded pistol grip with ambidextrous palm swells; they also feature an enhanced bolt handle design, all are available in left-handed models, and come issued with a four-round detachable magazine for all calibers: .223 Remington, .22-250 Remington, .243 Winchester, 6.5 Creedmoor, 7mm-08 Remington, .308 Winchester, .350 Legend, .400 Legend, .25-06 Remington, .270 Winchester, and .30-06 Springfield.

All those features are found in the new Savage AXIS XP rifle, which also comes with multiple color options for its synthetic stock and is issued from factory with a 3-9x40 riflescope, mounted and bore-sighted, with multi-coated lenses and tool-less windage and elevation adjustment turrets; MSRP is set at $479.00 in the United States. The new AXIS 2 rifle comes with all the same features, plus an externally-adjustable Savage Arms AccuTrigger, for $549.00.

Last, the Savage Arms AXIS 2 Pro stands out among the crowd with its Savage Arms Woodlands or Western camo synthetic stock, Cerakote-finished metal surfaces, threaded muzzle, and single-piece 0-MOA Picatinny rail for optics, all at a MSRP of $599.00 in the United States.
