Exactly 100 years ago, in 1916 died Giulio Fiocchi, founder of Fiocchi Munizioni Spa, one of the most important ammunition manufacturing company in the World. Giulio Fiocchi guided his company for 40 years. In 2016, the Fiocchi family fourth generation celebrates 140 years of activity, looking ahead.
Founded in Lecco in 1876 by Giulio Fiocchi, from the very start Fiocchi established its position in the market, growing from local to national to international standing in the firearms industry. Fiocchi Munizioni is now a company name well recognized at international level.
Today, thanks to the highly professional work of over 600 employees – in Italy and in the subsidiaries in the United States, United Kingdom, Argentina and New Zealand – Fiocchi Munizioni exports ammunition for sports, civilian and military uses to 50 countries.
Therefore, it is with great pride that in 2016 people at Fiocchi Munizioni celebrate 140th year as leaders in the business of manufacturing ammunition of all types and gauges.
The company’s history is made of people, ideas and perseverance.
These values have allowed the Fiocchi family – the fourth generation now at the helm, with help from the fifth – to create a globally renowned enterprise.
Celebrating almost a century and a half of history, in 2016 Fiocchi presents a range of new initiatives including the Shooting Academy Fiocchi (http://education.fiocchigfl.it/) and new product launches.
At the same time, Fiocchi has created a celebratory 140th-anniversary logo that will be featured prominently throughout our communication. The logo is a reinterpretation of the original trademark designed by founder Giulio Fiocchi, with a more contemporary style that also makes the GF acronym easier to read.
To celebrate this year’s anniversary, Fiocchi Munizioni has made several technical improvements to some of their products.
For its 140th birthday, Fiocchi is launching a new hunting ammunition line reorganized into four families – Classic, Wetland, Performance and Excellence – which introduce a range of technical innovations and performance improvements. Both the new Fiocchi Munizioni company logo and the new hunting ammunition lines have been presented during the 2016 edition of HIT Show, the International trade show that Fiera di Vicenza (Italy) dedicates every year to the gun Industry and related hunting and shooting activities.
After 140 years, the fourth generation of the Fiocchi family has accepted the global market challenge, facing it with the same spirit and unabated will that sustained the founder Giulio Fiocchi.
But now, President Stefano Fiocchi knows the challenge ahead is staying at the top, because: “reaching 140 years is a great milestone, not a finish line”.
