The political one is certainly the most important danger, but the threat of oxidation and rust should not be overlooked, especially for those who live in places with particularly humid climates.

Once saturated, Silent Dry dehumidifiers can be regenerated simply by using a microwave oven.
Drytech Corporation has developed a series of compact, portable and above all effective solutions, eco-friendly, sustainable and reusable to protect firearms, blades and replicas from humidity and corrosion, individually or in large collections, inside closed environments such as safes or strongrooms without taking up too much space, without making noise, without releasing bad odors, without accumulating water or condensation, or requiring electricity.
This is where the Silent Dry product line was born, which is based on bricks of nano-absorbent material - nanoporous silicon with the addition of kaolinite, bentonite, activated carbon and paper pulp - which can be used inside cases, safety cabinets and strongrooms. The material, with slow hygroscopicity, constantly absorbs humidity, keeping it constantly below a relative index (RH) of 60% and therefore below the level that causes the formation of rust.
In addition, Silent Dry products are characterized by an aggressive and tactical look - they do not look out of place in a vault or in the middle of a collection like a normal dehumidifier would - and once saturated they can be reconditioned for reuse using a fan oven or microwave, "cooking" them at a temperature of about 150 degrees (or in the case of microwaves, at power between 200 and 300 Watts) for a variable period of time depending on the product and its size; the products of the Silent Dry line generally need to be reconditioned every thirty days and can be reconditioned and reused indefinitely for a period of ten years.
The smallest versions of the Silent Dry dehumidifiers are the Invisible and Cube models, small bricks designed primarily for small gun cases or cases.
Slightly larger (11 x 6.5 x 2 cm and weighing approximately 120 grams) is the Pioneer model, designed for rifle cases and cases, or for small safety deposit boxes. This model has a removable plastic coating that prevents it from leaving marks on the weapon in the event of contact and that integrates a saturation indicator so that the user immediately knows when it is time to recondition it.
The Shotgun Jr. model also has an external ABS structure with a saturation indicator and is characterized by its appearance similar to that of a smooth-bore shotgun cartridge and by its large size and weight (Ø 8.8 x 16 cm for 270 grams) and is already more suitable for small armored cabinets.
Finally, for larger cabinets, there is the Silent Dry Hypercube, available in three sizes (S/M/L, weighing 600 g, 800 g and 1 kg respectively) with a built-in digital hygrometer. The Hypercube are suitable for large armored cabinets, and used in groups they are also suitable for use inside armored rooms.
